Josh Lauer of Wake Up Bedhead to provide music
Numbers represent everything around us. Pi may be the world’s most mysterious number. The decimal representation of pi never ends or repeats. No pattern in over 1 trillion digits of the decimal representation of pi has ever been found.
The pi-conscious project is a participatory art experiment that is open to all ages. It’s as simple as putting paint on a small square. Each individual small square becomes part of the overall project.
The pi-conscious project is a reflection of art, numbers and human emotion. When you look at or hear a number from pi, what color does it make you think of or feel?
The project does not claim to have any answers to pi. It is an experiment relying on the possibility that patterns may emerge, in a completely random fashion, through our collective human consciousness by sensing, feeling or thinking about numbers of pi as colors.
The pi-conscious project is designed to eventually travel to art galleries, art centers and museums.
Hope to see you there.
Thank you from the ART 56 GALLERY staff.
